http://www.markzware.com - Snorkeling in and around Caye Caulker, Belize. Tour was run by Carlos of Carlos Tours (Ph: 226 0458, email: carlosaya@gmail.com). We took the full-day tour, which was absolutely worth it! The day is over before you know it and the hour in San Pedro having lunch is very nice. Belize is in central America, but on the Caribbean sea- and they have the second largest barrier reef, which makes things just awesome! We saw all sorts of fish, sea turtles, sting rays and sharks. Nurse sharks mind you, which they say are very unlikely to attack you- and I can attest, they were very friendly and not bothered by us. (Although seeing one alone, later, did send a shiver up my sun-burnt spine!) The coral is beautiful and the underwater footage does not do it justice! I must also add that I am VERY happy with this 120 Euro adventure cam I bought for this trip. It is waterproof down to about 2 meters, but I figures after diving with it for hours on end that the seal would break and ruin it. But no, it lasted and went on to see Mayan ruins, rivers running through caves and even the border crossing between Guatemala and Belize, which we will not talk about! The mini adventure cam is made by Oregon Scientific (ATC2K Digital Video Camera). Carlos was a great guide, a friendly person and very informative. I think he knew the names of the sean life in five different languages! It was a nice touch to offer a CD with still shots after the tour was over. The Belikin was great while waiting! More films on Belize to come shortly- it is a beautiful country with lovely people! Sponsored by Markzware.com
