Mayan skeleton & pottery in the ATM caves - Belize In this adventure, through the Actun Tunichil Muknal or ATM Caves in Belize you will see Mayan ritual offerings, Mayan skeletal remains and a complete skeleton of a human offered as a sacrifice. The hike in is nice, although you get wet. The jungle, especially as you near the entrance to the Mayan underworld or cave is spectacular. You have to have a guide to do this as you walk upsteam in a river into the cave and have to climb up into this chamber where all of the offerings and rituals were carried out by these Mayans from hundreds of years ago.
