http://www.PersonalFitnessTrainerStLouis.com St Louis Personal Fitness Training: How Long Should a Workout Last? I am busy and don't have much time to spend on my weight loss at the gym, how long with my personal training session last? Is it possible to work out too long? Hi, my name in Clint Schambach and I am a personal trainer and bootcamp instructor with Level Up Fitness in St Louis, MO. A common question that I get asked is how long a typical personal training session lasts? They want to know how much time during their busy day that they need to set aside to address their fitness and weight loss needs. Not everyone has an unlimited amount of time that they can spend working out at their fitness center, health club or gym, so workouts need to be direct and straight to the point. The good news is that most people think the need to spend a lot of time in the gym to lose weight, and the answer is just the opposite. Workouts need to be short and to the point, and by putting the correct exercises in the correct sequences, workout times can be drastically reduced. The average personal training session should last no longer than an hour, including warm up and cool down. One thing you may not have known, is that when a workout lasts longer than an hour, your body starts to produce a chemical inside your body called cortisol, that can actually slow down your fat loss and weight loss results. So by keeping workouts under an hour, you can maximize the hormonal response in your body and speed up your fitness results. If you or anyone you know is struggling with fitness or weight loss, and has been going to their gym, fitness center, or health club bootcamp without seeing any fat loss results, then let me invite you to check out additional videos on our website or youtube channel at www.youtube.com/FitnessStLouis.
