Northern Cement Corporation's certified "Haligi ng Hilaga" were awarded at the recently concluded Tri Ilocos Norte 4 concluded last March 19, 2016 at Playa Tropical Resort Hotel in Currimao, Ilocos Norte. In three distance categories of Sprint, 51.5 and 113, the event triumphant individuals emerged victoriously besting other participants from different parts of the Philippines. The overall category winners were led by Robinson Esteves from Team Sante Barley (4:41:38) and Sandi Abahan (5:35:18) in the 113 km distance category followed by Jet Ramos (2:10:57) and Mirasol Abad (2:32:18) from the NCC Tigasin Tri Team in the 51.5 km distance category and lastly by Josh Ramos (1:18:48) and Luica Dacanay (1:38:53) in the Sprint distance category. For the relay categories, the Mayon Tri Team dominated the 51.5 km distance with a time of 3:21:30 while the Hi-Factor Tri North relay team and Takachin Tri relay team finished the 113 km distance with a time of 4:39:37 and 6:09:04, respectively.
