Hydra Lister 2.0 Tutorial - How to Set or Reset Your Hydra Lister Template

http://hydralister.com In this video, I'm going to show you how to set/reset your Hydra Listing Template in Hydra 2.0. First navigate to Batch/Single Lister Settings Then click on either US Settings or UK Settings Scroll down to the template box in Step 5. Most people will want to set Disable Preformatting to Yes if you plan on doing any customization to fonts or styling. If you're using a Hydra Lister template, then to reset your template, simply select a new template option from the Choosse a Template Drop Down Menu. It doesn't matter which you choose, you're just simply picking a different option. You will notice that the template shown will change. Then change it back to the template that you prefer. Next, scroll down and click Save Settings. Now, if you are using your own customized template then you will want to select a different option from the Choose a Template Drop Down Menu. Then click on the Source button in the editor. Select and delete all of the existing HTML code out of the box. If you had a customized template (or if you have customized one of Hydra's templates), you should have your raw HTML code saved somewhere on your computer. Locate that file and copy the raw HTML. Paste the customized template HTML into the template box. Then click on the Source Button again to get back to the visual editor. Make sure that you use Hydra's Merge Tags within the template so that Hydra will automatically insert the information where you need it to go. All Hydra Merge Tags are right above the template box. You can insert the {{titlel}}, {{product_description}}, and {{feature_bullets}} merge tags right there in the visual editor. However, if you are inserting the merge tag to have an image in your description, you will need to click on the Source button to access the HTML code, and the code would have to be inserted there. It's a good idea, while still on the Visual Editor side, that you put perhaps 5 Xs (XXXXX) where you'd want to put this image tag. Then click the Source Button. Once you are viewing the HTML, just browse or search the html code for XXXXX the five x's and then highlight those 5 x's and paste in the merge tag code for an image there. That ensures that you've placed it in the right place. Click the Source Button again to flip back to the visual editor to preview it.
