Traded markets can get "wonky" from time to time. What does wonky mean? Wonky is chiefly a British term that means shaky, unsteady, or awry. Markets get wonky during illiquid summer time trading. They also can get shaky when volatile fundamentals are whipping the price of an currency pair around. An example is the recent USDCAD price action that has been influenced by volatile crude oil prices and an impending election that may shift the balance of power. Trading wonky markets requires recognizing the dynamics of the market and then being really, really patient with trade entry. Greg Michalowski.
