This video tutorial shows how to connect the audio output of a GNU Radio FM receiver to the audio input of the multimon software modem using a named pipe. Using a named pipe we can avoid sending the data through audio hardware and software, which could degrade the signal quality. The packet radio transmission used in the demo is a recording of packet radio transmissions from the International Space Station received using an Arrow II antenna connected to the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) with WBX daughterboard.
