SAN ANTONIO - A mattress store in Texas is under fire after they aired a commercial for a weekend "Twin Towers" sale. Video of the commercial playing on TV was shot on a cell phone and posted on Facebook. The sale centers around the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. "Right now, you can get any size mattress for a twin price," the sales woman says in the ad. The end of the ad shows the woman knocking over two men - who each knock down a tower of mattresses behind them. "Oh no, oh no," she screams in the video before turning to the camera. "Never Forget." Thursday morning the mattress store, Miracle Mattress, posted an apology on Facebook. "To all of those who have seen our 9/11 sale. We are very sorry we have offended you," the Facebook post said. "Our intentions were not to hurt anyone at all. People commented on the stores post, expressing their outrage. "You're sorry you offended me? That's not an apology I accept. Apologizing for creating it in the first place would be a start. Admitting you were WRONG for creating it is another step," one person wrote. "There will never be an appropriate time to mock 9/11, and to do it to promote mattress sales?! Are you kidding me? Have some self respect." The company added that "our staff is full of military and some relatives have passed away due to 9/11. We are promoters of peace and love." "I find it hard to believe you knew anyone or any of your employees knew anyone who lost their lives in 9/11," another person wrote. "If that were the case they would have been so disgusted with your commercial that it would have never seen the light of day!" "We wish you therapy for your mental health issues to think this was even funny in the first place," a comment on the page said. "You guys are really repulsive." "We have given abundantly to our community here in San Antonio and wish to remain known as a company who respects and loves others," the company ended. "We hope you find it in your hearts to forgive us. Please accept our apology."
