With only seconds to spare... Let's Get Started... Normally when taking screenshots using the keyboard combinations as shown on one of my video titled: "Screenshot on Mac Using Keyboard", the captured screenshot is saved in the Default PNG file format. If you prefer to have your screenshots saved in one of the following file extensions, jpg, tiff, gif or pdf , you can do so by launching Terminal and type the following commands: defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg (carriage return) Then be sure to restart the user interface server for the changes to take effect, by typing the following: killall SystemUIServer (carriage return) (Case sensitive.... Only: S, U and I are in Caps....NOT k ) Likewise, to change to tiff, gif, pdf or back to png, just replace and add the file extensions after "type" and not forgetting to re-launch the SystemUIServer each time. And that's all it takes. THANKS FOR WATCHING AND THUMBS-UP IF YOU LIKED THIS VIDEO AND PLEASE, DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE NEXT 60 Seconds Quick Tip. THANKS AND PEACE.
