Made from family grade wood, it brings out the full beauty and colour variation of oak with an array of lines, rings and small-medium sized knots but no sapwood or mineralisation, while the natural grain is enhanced by the oiling, which also gives the wood greater durability. Each plank is 180mm wide, 14mm thick and comes in excellent standard lengths of 1800mm. Its attractive visual appearance is given extra impact by the planks having bevelled edges on all four sides, giving the planks greater definition. The top hardwood layer is 2.5 mm and is tough enough to last around 20 years in most cases without needing to be sanded, although this can be done up to three times in its lifetime.
